Collection I — Degrees of Contact

Degrees of Contact examines the shifting boundary between inner experience and the outside world. Across the series, protection, control, distance, anxiety and openness emerge through gaze, posture and colour. Rather than presenting fixed identities, the paintings capture different ways of allowing, resisting or negotiating emotional contact.
